About the role
WRMH is looking for a Field Engineer to join our engineering team. The role is focused on customer site service, repairs, diagnostics and practical support across forklift and materials handling equipment, with the backing of a team that understands the job.
It is ideally suited to someone already working in the forklift, plant, materials handling or an allied service industry who wants to change up. You may be formally qualified or time-served. What matters is that you can work safely, communicate clearly, solve problems and want to keep developing.
What you will be doing
- Carrying out field service, repairs and fault diagnosis on forklift and materials handling equipment.
- Helping customers reduce downtime with clear communication, practical judgement and professional site conduct.
- Working with the service, workshop and parts teams so jobs move quickly and first-time fixes improve.
- Supporting mixed fleets across different makes, models and operating environments.
- Recording work clearly and feeding back useful site information so customers and colleagues stay informed.
Who we are looking for
- Qualified or time-served: a capable engineer from forklift, plant, materials handling, access, agricultural, HGV or a similar service background.
- Industry understanding: someone who already knows field work is about more than the repair. It is trust, pace, communication and judgement.
- Customer confidence: a person who can represent WRMH professionally and help customers feel the job is in safe hands.
- Development focus: someone who wants to keep improving with a team that values their voice, experience and future.
What WRMH will offer
- A team that cares about engineers as people, not just jobs on a schedule.
- Practical support from service, workshop and parts colleagues who understand what field engineers need.
- Exposure to mixed fleets, different brands, diagnostics, repairs and real customer site challenges.
- A place where your experience, ideas and feedback can help shape better ways of working.
